EDPUZZLE ACTIVITY " STEVE AND MAGGIE "

Hello,
here you can find the video I have modified to work it on the first cycle of Primary Education.

I have chosen this video because I am working on body parts and I think they would find it enjoyable and motivating. I love Steve and Maggie and my kids love them too.
I know they like this kind of activities because they imply their participation and they can watch the video at home and share it with their families, something that they really love doing.
Of course, next time I am going to look for videos that have more content and give me the opportunity of creating different types of activities and writing different notes.

With this activity, my students:
- Use authentic materials, as they can watch the video on the computer or the iPad, becoming an interactive activity.
- Reinforce the content we work in the class, acting as a post activity.
- Work on "body parts", a topic they love as it implies the use of their own body for different activities.
- Become more responsible as they are in charge of watching the video on their own at home.

Before giving this video to my students, in the class we work with flashcards the vocabulary about body parts. We listen and repeat, then play Simon Says, and finally, we draw the body parts I mention.

Hope you like it.

Bye!

Carmen

  1. Dear Teacher Carmen,
After having a look at your work, the only thing I could say is that you know what you do definitely. They way you show your activities and their content is really nice. In fact, my students and I also love Steve and Maggie hahaha.

You explain properly your entries giving reasons for why you work in the way you do, and there is no doubt you are right. It seems you know very well your students, what is another interesting and very important point.

It is almost impossible to say a negative aspect about your work. The only thing I would like to see is more entries because they would be very useful for me too :) so I will visit your blog in the future.

    Kind regards,
    Rafa
